Volunteers - Trail and Events

    Volunteers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  

  2. What type of volunteer work are you interested in?*

    Chery Hill Trail Crew: Meets 2nd Saturday each month at one of the Cherry Hill Township's trail systems from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. 

    Cherry Hill Environmental Board Events: Throughout the year, Cherry Hill Township and the Environmental Board host volunteer days open to the entire community that include MLK Day of Service, National Trails Day, National Public Lands Day.

    Pollinator Gardens: Activities include prepping, watering, weeding and planting. No experience necessary.

    Township Events: Occasionally the Recreation Department requires assistance at Harvest Festival and other large events.

    Trails - Large Group Volunteer Opportunities: This is for groups of 10 or more who are looking for volunteer opportunities for their business/organization. Projects can be customized just for you.

    Volunteer responsibilities and duties may include the following:

    Trail Volunteer

    • Heavy lifting, bending, carrying, tool handling, walking along trails, manual labor, yard work and trash collection.

    Event Volunteer

    • Ability to be on their feet for extended periods of time
    • Set-up and breakdown of necessary equipment, tables, chairs, etc. before and after the event (This may include, but not limited to, heavy lifting up to 25lbs, bending, carrying, manual labor, etc.
    • Engaging with visitors, in a pleasant and welcoming environment.
