The Township does not issue general mercantile licenses; however, the Township Clerk issues certain specialty licenses, such as food, massage, taxis, second-hand dealers, etc. Please visit the Licensing Page for more information.
A Zoning Permit and a Certificate of Occupancy is required for every new business, new use, new occupancy, new owner, or tenant fit-out. You may apply for a Zoning Permit and a Certificate of Occupancy at the same time. However, the Construction Office will not issue a Certificate of Occupancy until a Zoning Permit has first been issued.
