Cherry Hill residents can pick up free tree seedlings on April 28, from 1-3 PM at Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Road, Cherry Hill, NJ) as part of the New Jersey Forest Service’s New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign.

 Seedlings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and include instructions on how to store, care for and plant the trees.  We have no indication what type of seedlings will be given to us to distribute until the day of.  A comprehensive list of all potential trees can be found by clicking the link below.  After you receive your seedlings, please utilize this list and find your tree.

Donations Needed for Craft Project


The Recreation Department is requesting the following items for a craft project that is happening during the Earth Day Tree Giveaway event.

Feel free to drop them off this week, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Recreation Office at Croft Farm, 100 Bortons Mill Road, or bring them with you on Sunday at 1 p.m.

  • Tin cans, Plastic bottles, Newspaper, Cardboard, Wine corks, Old CDs or DVDs, Scrap metal, Pallets, Broken ceramics, Fabric scraps, Coffee cans, Plastic bags, Bottle caps, Popsicle sticks, Old books, Corkboard, Milk jugs, Plastic containers, Wooden crates, Light bulbs, Magazines, Plastic cutlery, Clothing scraps
