About

Councilman William Carter, a 35-year resident of Cherry Hill, lives in the Township's Surrey Place East neighborhood where two of his daughters attended Cherry Hill Public Schools.

As an active community member, Bill is the past Chairman and 2nd Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC). He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Educational Equity Advisory Board of the Pennsylvania State University. He has also served on the Cherry Hill NJ School Board, the Cherry Hill NJ Zoning Board of Adjustment, and the Cherry Hill NJ Planning Board (2 terms), and was a member of the Philadelphia Construction and Transportation Board of Directors for the March of Dimes.

Councilman Carter is currently a member of the Mayor’s Citizens Advisory Cabinet, and the Cherry Hill African American Civic Association.

Professionally, Bill is currently the Principal of W3C Associates consulting firm, serving a variety of commercial and residential clients in PA, NJ, and MD. He has held a number of positions in the construction industry- including some notable projects where he served as the executive in charge.
