  • During a traffic stop, the officer may activate the police vehicle emergency lights and/or siren to gain your attention. Please pull your vehicle over to a safe location. Additional officers may arrive to assist. The officer will approach you and state his/her name and department and advise why you have been stopped. Next, the officer will request your license, registration and insurance identification card. Overall, the motorist can expect to be treated fairly, courteously, and in a professional manner.
