On March 24th, 2012, Cherry Hill Firefighters once again participated in the Fight for Air Climb, an American Lung Association fundraiser event where members in full firefighter gear climb 50 flights of stairs at Three Logan Square in Philadelphia.
Our team participated in two separate climbs, the first in regular clothes and the second in full firefighter protective and SCBA equipment, giving each member an additional 60+ pounds to carry up those 50 flights of stairs. Good job to participating members Brian Appleman, Phil Cook, Joe and Olivia Gerace, Zach Houck, Tom McGovern, Rex Rostrom, and Tim and Lisa Shannon. A special congratulations to 8 year-old Olivia Gerace, who was the youngest participant of the approximately 650 overall climbers.
