New Jersey American Water is expected to begin replacing the water main and water service lines on Wayside Drive and Wayside Court in the Township's Barclay neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 19.
The majority of this work will take place in the roadway; however, some work will take place in the
sidewalk or park strip. Construction will continue for approximately 8 weeks, with final paving and other restoration to follow in Spring 2016. Residents are advised that any area of their property impacted by this work will be restored to its original condition, and the street will be repaved.
All dates and timeframes are dependent upon weather and other scheduling issues.
Residential service will not be affected, except for a short period of time when individual service lines are connected to the newly-installed water main. Each household will be notified when this shut off is to occur. You do not need to be present for this to take place; however, anyone home at the time of the outage will be notified when it occurs.
The utility company will maintain access to your property throughout the duration of the project. If your water meter is located inside your home, American Water contact you to schedule a convenient time to move it to a new meter pit at the curbline.
When your service line is connected to the new main, air may enter the water line or create a disturbance of debris in your plumbing. If this occurs, please run your cold water for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation for the duration of this project. Residents with questions or concerns during this project may contact Jacquelyn Weaver at (856) 764-6915, or EdOpczynski at (856) 764-6924.
