New Jersey American Water is expected to begin a water-main upgrade on Old Carriage Road between Kitty Hawk and Pearlcroft roads next Tuesday, June 23, weather-permitting.
Service should remain uninterrupted except for a brief period when individual service lines are connected to the newly-installed main. Residents will be notified when the shut-off is to occur, but do not need to be present for it to take place. Access to properties will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
Connecting service lines to the new main may cause air to enter the line, or could create a disturbance of debris in your plumbing. If this occurs, please run your cold water for a few minutes, until the water runs clear.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution, drive slowly and obey all traffic signs when in the work area.
Anyone with questions or concerns about the project can contact Jacquelyn Weaver at (856) 764-6915, or Ed Opczynski at (856) 764-6924.
