Re: Chapel Avenue East repaving – Kings Highway to King George Road
Dear Neighbor,
Final milling and paving of Chapel Avenue East from Kings Highway to King George Road is scheduled to take place next week, December 26-27, between the hours of 7:00AM to 3:30PM. During this time, the contractor, South State, Inc., will be allowing vehicles a single lane eastbound to pass through the work zone. The westbound lane will be detoured through local roadways, similar to the previous construction traffic pattern in this area.
Local residents will have access to their homes at all times. Some driveways may be blocked for a short time during the construction; however, the contractor has assured us that they would work to minimize disruptions. In addition, emergency services (fire, police, ambulance) will have access to the roadway during this time. The contractor will also be sending a notice under separate cover.
We are looking forward to the completion of the road resurfacing in this area, for which the Township received grant funding from the State. We hope that you will notice the improvement as well.
