A Message from the Mayor
Dear Residents:
As many of you know, the first presumptive positive case of novel Coronavirus in Camden County was announced last Friday. The individual is being monitored at Jefferson Hospital, and the Camden County Health Department is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to trace back close contacts of the individual. Governor Murphy has declared a state of emergency in an effort to give state and local officials greater authority to make necessary decisions to protect the public health. Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control have advised senior citizens to take extra precautions and avoid public spaces.
The overall risk to the general public remains low, however, my administration is taking any potential risk to our residents very seriously. In light of guidance from Federal, State, and County experts, I have announced the indefinite postponement of some upcoming events:
- Senior Information Fair on March 11
- Character Breakfast on March 13
- Ensemble Series on March 15
- Camden County Household Hazardous Waste Collection on March 21
- AARP Tax Help - Cancelled
I’ve asked maintenance staff to ramp up disinfectant efforts within Town Hall prioritizing public facing point-of-service counters and windows. And I’m asking all residents with Township business to utilize, to the greatest extent possible, online services such as the following:
- Report a concern: this includes reporting a fallen tree, a pothole, trash or recycling issue and more. Click here.
- Recreation Registration: Register for upcoming classes and programs. Click here.
- Pay Taxes/Sewer bills: You can mail in a check or pay online. Click here.
- Pay traffic tickets: Click here.
- Residential Resale Inspections: Click here.
- Right of Way Permits: Click here.
- Forms: Residents can access and download a variety of forms online and then fax those forms to the appropriate Township departments.
- Get notified: Stay up-to-date with the latest information by subscribing to our newsletters and following us on social media. Click here.
- Check Construction Permit Status. Click here.
- Request a Permit Inspection. Click here.
- Property Information Via Map Search. Click here.
Please continue to monitor upcoming events and programs throughout the region as other organizations make similar decisions to cancel or postpone. My office is aware of the following:
- Camden County has cancelled Chair Yoga on March 11 and March 25 and Meditation on March 18.
- The Cherry Hill Public Library will be indefinitely postponing various programs for the month of March. Please check their events calendar for the most up to date information.
I’ve directed department heads to draw up contingency plans in the event that our municipal building experiences diminished workforce capacity as a result of potential widespread exposure, and to look into any and all actions to protect the public and municipal employees.
Our top priority is protecting the health and safety of Cherry Hill residents. Cherry Hill Township, Police, and Fire Departments as well as our schools are actively coordinating with State and County officials. We will continue to share information as it becomes available. Please note that the State Department of Health has established a 24-hour public hotline by calling 800-222-1222. As always you can reach my office at 856-488-7878.
Sincerely,
Susan Shin Angulo, Mayor

The best way to prevent the spread and contraction of Coronavirus is practicing good personal hygiene:
- Wash your hands thoroughly, and often, with soap and water for 20 seconds;
- Stay home when you’re sick;
- Avoid contact with others who are sick;
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue; and
- Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects.
