WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, the Cherry Hill community wishes to celebrate and commemorate the 50th anniversary of St. Andrew’s Nursery School and Kindergarten; and
WHEREAS the school began as the vision of Natalie “Talie” Ollis, who dreamed of creating a nursery school with a mission of outreach to the young families in what was then a new and expanding community in Cherry Hill; and
WHEREAS through the years, the programs at St. Andrews have adapted to meet the needs of our ever-changing world, but the school’s commitment to Christian values and excellence has remained constant from the beginning; and
WHEREAS the vision that Talie had for St. Andrew’s Nursery School has continued to enrich the lives of the children who have passed through its doors in the five decades since, by providing a safe, warm and nurturing environment and by helping the children entrusted to their care to explore and be creative so they may develop to their fullest potential; and
WHEREAS we, as Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill, are proud to celebrate 50 years of St. Andrew’s Nursery School and Kindergarten, and to commend the climate of collaboration, creativity and education that has allowed generations of young Cherry Hill children to learn, grow and succeed.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim April 20, 2016, to be
St. Andrew’s Nursery School and Kindergarten Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in congratulating the entire St. Andrew’s Nursery School community on reaching this milestone, and in thanking the administration and staff for making St. Andrew’s a shining example of excellence in Cherry Hill.
