WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, the members of the Cherry Hill Township Council will formalize their support for the Township’s Roadmap to our Future, a blueprint for building a sustainable future and maintaining the vitality of our community for years to come; and
WHEREAS this document is an important step forward in building a community that is sustainable economically, environmentally and socially, and is a living, breathing document that will allow us to continually evaluate our progress and set new goals as appropriate and necessary; and
WHEREAS the creation of the Roadmap document is the culmination of more than two years of work by the Township administration, in partnership with the Township’s Green Team, a dedicated group of community stakeholders who volunteered their time, talents and insight into crafting a meaningful plan; and
WHEREAS importantly, the adoption of this blueprint reinforces Cherry Hill’s position as a leader in municipal and community-wide sustainability in New Jersey, and will serve as a model for government, businesses and residents alike as we move toward the future; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council wish to formally acknowledge the role that the members of the Green Team played in this plan’s creation, adoption and eventual implementation, and to express our sincerest thanks for their contributions.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to recognize the
Cherry Hill Township Green Team
for its role in the creation of Cherry Hill Township’s Roadmap to our Future, and do urge all citizens to join with me and the members of Township Council in thanking the members of the Green Team for their continued willingness to work with Mayor Cahn, Cherry Hill Township Council, and our Township staff to ensure a stronger, more vibrant and sustainable future for Cherry Hill.
