WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, we wish to honor and thank Councilwoman Susan Shin Angulo for her service to Cherry Hill Township and the residents of Cherry Hill, as she prepares to take the Oath of Office as a Camden County Freeholder; and
WHEREAS Susan was sworn in as a Cherry Hill Township Councilwoman in January 2010, and holds the distinction of being the first Korean-American woman in the State of New Jersey, a duty she has fulfilled with honor and dignity for the last five years; and
WHEREAS throughout her term as a Councilwoman, Susan has been a dedicated public servant and an advocate for Cherry Hill residents of all ages and from all walks of life, and has played an integral role in helping to make Cherry Hill the strong, vibrant, thriving and diverse community it is today; and
WHEREAS throughout her time on Council, Susan has attended hundreds of local events as a representative of the Township, presented dozens of proclamations, and been a part of numerous milestones in our community’s history; and
WHEREAS Susan is known for her endless smiles and friendly disposition, and is held in the highest regard by Mayor Cahn, her colleagues on Council, the Township staff and all those who have had the pleasure of knowing and working with her for the last five years.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to honor and thank
Councilwoman Susan Shin Angulo
for her dedicated service to Cherry Hill Township and its residents, and ask all citizens to join with me and the members of Township Council in thanking Susan for her role in making our community a better place to live, work and play, and in wishing her all the best as she begins her tenure as a Camden County Freeholder
