WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS this year, the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine Department of Psychiatry will graduate its 25th residency class; and
WHEREAS the Department, founded by William F. Ranieri, DO in 1983, formed its psychiatry residency program in 1986, in cooperation with Kennedy University Hospitals; and
WHEREAS to date, the program has graduated 75 psychiatrists, the majority of whom have remained in New Jersey and continue to serve the mental-health needs of residents across South Jersey; and
WHEREAS these talented and capable men and women work in areas that include addiction medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry, and at facilities including Kennedy University Hospitals, Twin Oaks Community Services and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center; and
WHEREAS for 25 years, the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry has produced some of our area’s finest mental-health and medical professionals, who perform an important service for countless individuals in our community, and we are proud to recognize and celebrate this milestone.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby join in commemorating the
25th Graduating Class
Rowan University
School of Osteopathic Medicine
Department of Psychiatry
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in applauding the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine Department of Psychiatry on producing 25 years of talented medical professionals, and in congratulating this year’s graduates and wishing them long and successful careers.
