WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, we are proud to honor Cherry Hill resident Amelia Paulson, a 10th grade student at Cherry Hill High School West, who was selected to perform in the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, Feb. 22; and
WHEREAS The Honors Series invites musically elite students to rehearse and perform under master conductors, in front of representatives from collegiate and professional music programs, while experiencing the best of the sights and arts in New York City ; and
WHEREAS Amelia was selected from among more than 10,000 nominees, and was one of just 500 musicians nationwide selected to represent their schools and communities; and
WHEREAS a member of Cherry Hill West’s Chamber Singers and West Singers, and an Ensemble member for the upcoming Cherry Hill West musical “Mary Poppins,” Amelia is one of our community’s most promising young musicians; and.
WHEREAS along with Amelia’s teachers, administrators and family members, we are proud to celebrate this truly remarkable accomplishment, which is an exciting milestone for Amelia, personally, and for our entire Cherry Hill community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, March 10, 2015, to be

in the Township of Cherry Hill, and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in congratulating Amelia on her performance at Carnegie Hall, in thanking her for representing our community so proudly, and in wishing her continued success as she completes her studies at Cherry Hill West, and for many years to come.
