WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, friends and family have gathered together to give a warm “Welcome Home” to USAF A1C Dustin McGunnigle, a 2016 graduate of Cherry Hill West, as he returns to South Jersey after serving our country in Jordan; and
WHEREAS whenever called upon to defend our nation’s security at home or abroad, the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces respond immediately, placing this Nation’s interests above their own. USAF A1C McGunnigle is one such hero; and
WHEREAS the contributions and sacrifices made by our military personnel are vital to maintaining America’s blessings of freedom and liberty; and
WHEREAS the families of those serving in our nation’s military make meaningful sacrifices and provide the support, love and dedication essential to their well-being and service, such as Dustin’s mother Susan; and
WHEREAS we are delighted to join with A1C McGunnigle’s family and friends – in welcoming him home; and
WHEREAS A1C McGunnigle has served our great nation bravely and honorably since enlisting in the Air Force as a Crew Chief, maintaining F-15’s, and deserves our recognition, gratitude, respect, and warm wishes for many safe and happy returns.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to proclaim Friday, December 21, 2018, to be

in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in welcoming home and to most gratefully honor, sincerely appreciate, and wholeheartedly thank A1C McGunnigle and wishing him continued safety as he serves the United States of America at home and abroad.
