WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS public recreation programs, particularly youth sports such as soccer, are an integral part of the Cherry Hill community, helping to preserve a special quality of life, and giving our young people a chance to participate in a healthy activity that fosters teamwork and builds strong character and lifelong skills; and
WHEREAS tonight, the Cherry Hill community comes together to honor Cherry Hill resident, Alan Feldman, for his 18 years of service to Cherry Hill FC soccer; and
WHEREAS a lifelong soccer player, Alan first began volunteering his time at Cherry Hill FC in 2000 as a coach for his oldest son’s team; Alan then joined the Board of Directors and served as the Age Group Coordinator, Director of Recreation, Director of Fields & Facilities, and later became President of Cherry Hill FC in 2006; and
WHEREAS it takes a great deal of dedication and voluntary sacrifice to run a youth soccer club, and Alan’s unwavering commitment to Cherry Hill FC has made it one of the top soccer clubs in our entire region; and
WHEREAS in addition to the countless number of Cherry Hill families that have been touched by his gracious generosity, the entire Cherry Hill community is stronger because of his dedication and commitment; and
WHEREAS on behalf of the entire Cherry Hill community, I want to thank Alan and let him know that we appreciate the year-round effort it takes to build, grow, and sustain a youth soccer club.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to recognize
Alan Feldman
and express our gratitude and appreciation for his stewardship and service to the Cherry Hill community, and ask all citizens to join with me and the members of Township Council in thanking Alan for volunteering, and helping to build memories for children and their families that will last their entire lifetimes, and for his role in making our community a better place to live, work and play, and in wishing him all the best as he begins this new chapter in his life.
