UPDATES On Long-Term Projects
Hampton Road will continue to be closed in both directions between Chapel Ave and the MVS Inspection Station for several months while the County performs full-depth roadway restoration and improvements. This will likely last through December at which point one or both lanes may be re-opened until the entire project is completed.
Cuthbert Blvd will have both inside lanes closed over the Cooper River between North Park and South Park Drives, 24/7 for about one month while bridge repairs are made. The outer lanes will remain open at all times. *** This will add to already congested conditions around rush hours so please seek alternate routes over the river and avoid this area during heavy traffic times***
Grove Street at Park Blvd / Coles Mill Rd will continue to have the northbound lane coming from Haddonfield into Cherry Hill closed 24/7 for about another month while bridge repairs are made. The southbound lanes exiting Cherry Hill into Haddonfield will remain open at all times. The northbound detour route is Kings Highway in Haddonfield to Park Blvd back to Grove Street.
Haddonfield-Berlin Road between I-295 and Brace Road will continue to experience intermittent single- and double-lane closures for several more weeks while PSE&G completes gas main work. Brace Road will have periodic lane closures between Berlin Rd and Kresson Rd for this work as well as gas mains are linked together underground.
Brace Road at Kresson Road will have its Monday-Thursday 7P-7A overnight detours suspended through the end of next week, with work anticipated to resume around 9/24. There are still about 2 to 3 weeks’ worth of this work remaining.
Township Road Resurfacing- Cherry Hill’s contracted road maintenance provider will be starting multiple small areas of road milling/repaving throughout the township beginning on or around October 1st. This is part of the municipal roadway maintenance program and involves small sections of 30 local roads, mostly in neighborhoods and not major through-streets. Local detours will be posted, and for most times (except when hot pavement is being laid down) emergency vehicles will have access through the work spaces. Any roads with immediate school impacts will be restricted to work times of 9am through 3pm to accommodate safe passage of school traffic.
