WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, Cherry Hill Township and the members of the Nafshenu congregation proudly come together to celebrate the first anniversary; and
WHEREAS Nafshenu is a dynamic, local Jewish community that exists to reclaim and reimagine Judaism in an ever-changing modern world; and
WHEREAS the synagogue has been blessed with the esteemed Spiritual Leadership of Rabbi Larry; and
WHEREAS over the course of the past year, Nafshenu has been the setting for countless milestones – a place in which members have celebrated in times of great joy, sought comfort in times of sorrow, and found religious inspiration; and
WHEREAS Nafshenu is a vibrant and blessed place where its members can pray, gather, learn and grow together, and where innovation and creativity thrive, and the Mayor and Council are proud to share in today’s celebration.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to commemorate and celebrate
Nafshenu’s First Anniversary Celebration
and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in celebrating this joyful milestone, and in wishing Nafshenu’s spiritual leaders, staff, students and the entire congregation, many more years of joyful worship.
