WHEREAS  it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and

WHEREAS today, members of Temple Emmanuel of Cherry Hill come together to honor Cantor Neil M. Schnitzer, who is celebrating ten years of service to Temple Emmanuel; and

WHEREAS Cantor Schnitzer began work at Temple Emmanuel in 2008 and has brought recognition to Temple Emmanuel by being a Spiritual Leader, Cantor, and Educator; and  

WHEREAS Cantor Schnitzer has worked to design new Shabbat and holiday services, including an all-musical Friday evening service called “Shabbat Reenah,” a “Multi-Generational” Shabbat morning service, and a contemplative service called “Shabbat Machshavah”; and

WHEREAS Cantor Schnitzer has also worked with Temple Emmanuel’s Sisterhood, Men’s Club, and the Rabbis, to recreate Friday evening services and retreat liturgy, as well as services for tots, teens, and several holidays, all of which combine new music with traditional liturgical works; and

WHEREAS in his personal life, Cantor Neil Schnitzer is married to his lovely wife Linda Bobrin and has three wonderful sons, Alex, David, and Aaron, who are celebrating this special occasion with him; and

WHEREAS for these reasons and many others, Mayor Cahn and the members of Cherry Hill Township Council are proud and honored to celebrate Cantor Schnitzer’s ten years of service at Temple Emmanuel.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to honor and celebrate

 Cantor Neil Schnitzer

for his contributions and service to Cherry Hill Township and Temple Emmanuel, and ask that all citizens join with me and the members of Township Council in wishing Cantor Schnitzer all the best as he continues to serve Temple Emmanuel and its congregation here in  Cherry Hill.
