WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS for the past twelve years, wrestling coach Zach Semar has been responsible for the success of the Cherry Hill West wrestling program; and
WHEREAS a coach and former wrestler, Coach Semar encourages his athletes to play with passion, dedication, and discipline;
WHEREAS Coach Semar has consistently coached extremely competitive teams that have been among the upper echelon in South Jersey; and
WHEREAS Coach Semar’s professionalism and dedication to his team and the sport of wrestling recently earned him the 2018 District 26 and Region 7 coach of the year award, marking the second time he has earned this prestigious honor; and
WHEREAS Coach Semar has worked countless hours to assist his players both on and off the wrestling mat, so to ensure that his players continue their education and receive an opportunity to play at the intercollegiate level; and
WHEREAS when Coach Semar isn’t coaching wrestling, he serves as a Humanities teacher at John A. Carusi Middle School and devotes his free time so his wife and family; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Wednesday, March 28, 2018, to be

In the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in congratulating Coach Semar on his recent honor of receiving Coach of the Year. Coach Semar’s outstanding selfless commitment and loyalty to his players create a wrestling program at Cherry Hill High School West that is unmatched.
