WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, the Korean American Association of Southern New Jersey hosts its annual Chuseok celebration, a day that brings members of the Korean-American community in our region together in Thanksgiving; and
WHEREAS Chuseok is also an opportunity to engage the entire greater South Jersey region in a celebration of our region’s rich, vibrant and diverse population, educating men, women and children from all backgrounds about Korean culture and traditions; and
WHEREAS The Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township are grateful for this opportunity to come together to celebrate our diversity, and build a stronger community; and
WHEREAS in the spirit of Chuseok, the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township wish to thank the Korean-American Association for its contributions to our Township throughout the year, and, in particular, for their efforts in planning and hosting this tremendous event.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill in the County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby celebration the
2017 Chuseok Festival
in the Township of Cherry Hill, and urge all citizens to join with me and Council in joining with the Korean American Association of Southern New Jersey and members of the Korean-American community in celebrating and giving thanks.
