WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, in recognition of their years of leadership, service and commitment, Temple Beth Sholom honors two special Cherry Hill residents, Shirley and Jim Feigenbaum, who have made a difference in the life of the congregation and our community for over 30 years; and
WHEREAS together, Shirley and Jim have chaired the Jewish Federation of Southern NJ Super Sunday Campaign and the JCC auction, and were involved in the establishment of the Esther Raab Holocaust Museum & Goodwin Education Center; and
WHEREAS through the years, Shirley has been involved in countless projects, including the Holocaust Torah Restoration initiative and designing the Eric B. Jacobs ECEC infant and daycare rooms, and is currently serving as Vice President of Fundraising and Sponsorship at TBS; and
WHEREAS Jim began his local involvement as a board member of the JCC and later as Vice President, focusing primarily on revitalizing and renovating the JCC Camp in Medford; and
WHEREAS in light of their various contributions to the Temple Beth Sholom and South Jersey communities, we can think of no couple more deserving of honor at this year’s Temple Beth Sholom Tribute Dinner than Shirley and Jim Feigenbaum, and we are proud to join with the congregation in this tribute.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby honor and recognize
Shirley and Jim Feigenbaum
as exemplary members of our Cherry Hill community, and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in recognizing Shirley and Jim’s many years of service to the congregation and our Jewish community as a whole, and in in thanking them for their continued efforts to make Cherry Hill a better place to live and play.
