Right of Way Permits
ALL PERMIT APPLICATIONS CAN BE SUBMITTED VIA THE ONLINE PORTAL OR COMPLETED IN-PERSON. FOR QUESTIONS REGARDING THE STATUS OF THE PERMIT APPLICATION AND/OR INSPECTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL DANIELLE HAMMOND AT dhammond@chnj.gov and EARLE SENERES AT eseneres@chnj.gov.
Right of Way permits are required for any work within the township’s right of way, including plans to lawfully cut, break into, excavate, grade, damage, or open any of the roads, streets, avenues, or highways belonging to the township, or repairing damaged driveway aprons, sidewalks and curbs. When replacing or widening your driveway, you will also need to obtain a Zoning permit from the Community Development Department.
The fees for Right of Way permits are based on the scope of the work being performed.

For questions regarding the online application process, please contact the Engineering Department by calling (856) 424-3203.
