Snow Removal Step-By-Step
The following is a step-by-step process of snow removal:
- At the onset of a snowstorm, a mixture of salt and sand must first be applied to streets to prevent icing.
- Once plowing of snow has begun, 2 passes will be made on each of the 20 routes to provide curb-to-curb cleaning.
- Depending on the duration of a storm, it may be necessary to repeat the plowing process several times.
- When snowfall stops, it takes an additional 8 hours to complete the snow-removal operation.
- When a snow-removal operation is underway, Public Works employees work around the clock to provide the best possible service to the residents of Cherry Hill.
Not all roads in Cherry Hill are maintained by the township. During bad weather, we often receive calls from our residents about the condition of roads whose maintenance is the responsibility of the Camden County Board of Freeholders. We're happy to relay your concerns, but if you would like to reach the Camden County Public Works Department directly, please call 856-566-2980.
